Commemoration of the Birthday of His Holiness Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang:

His Holiness Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang, the 37th throne holder of the Drikung Kagyu tradition and the seventh reincarnation of Chetsang Rinpoche, is recognized as a manifestation of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the Buddha of Compassion.

Born in Lhasa in 1946, he has dedicated his life to preserving and transmitting the wisdom of the Dharma and the Drikung Kagyu tradition, offering teachings and spiritual guidance to practitioners throughout the world.

To commemorate his birthday, the Empowerment and Instructions of the Dakini Senge Dongma (Siṃhamukhā) will be offered, together with the Oral Transmission (Lung) of this practice by Drubpon Tsering Rinpoche.

Senge Dongma, the lion-faced dakini, is a female protector of the Dharma. Her practice is regarded as a powerful means to dispel obstacles and negativity, supporting the well-being, health and spiritual progress of practitioners.

In the Vajrayana tradition, the oral transmission (lung) establishes a direct connection with the lineage of masters who have preserved this teaching through generations. Together with the empowerment, it allows practitioners to receive the blessings, authorization and profound connection with the practice.
