Red Chenresig Retreat with Drubpon Tsering Rinpoche

The practice of Red Chenrezig from the Annuttara Yoga Tantra is one of the basic terma practices of the Gar Monastery in Tibet. Since the foundation of the monastery some 400 years ago, the lamas there have carried out this practice without interruption. A historically significant prayer wheel accompanies the practice throughout. The first Garchen Rinpoche Tenzin Phüntsog was an emanation of Chenresig who was to bring immeasurable benefit to the sentient beings of future generations. This is stated in Guru Rinpoche's prophecy in the Great Guhyasamaja Terma. The practice belongs to the Father Tantra and activates our compassion to purify hatred and aggression.
