The Drikung Garchen Institute e.V. is a center of the Drikung Kagyü tradition of Tibetan Buddhism under the spiritual leadership of H.E. Garchen Rinpoche. We offer lectures, seminars, regular meditations and meditation retreats.

How to find us

Drikung Garchen Institut, Florian-Geyer-Straße 10, 81377 München (Munich)

The center is located in the west of Munich, near Westpark.

Public transportation:

U6 in the direction of “Klinikum Großhadern” or Metrobus 51 in the direction of “Aidenbachstraße”.

Get off at the “Holzapfelkreuth” stop. 2-minute walk (get off in the direction of “Ehrwalder Straße”).

By car:

From the A95 freeway coming from Garmisch: Kreuzhof exit, continue on Fürstenrieder Straße to Ehrwalder Straße

From the A96 freeway coming from Lindau: Laim exit, continue on Fürstenrieder Straße to Ehrwalder Straße.

Or coming from Mittlerer Ring, take the Ehrwalder Straße exit, turn into Friedrich-List-Straße, which leads into Florian-Geyer-Straße.

Directions from Munich Airport:

Take the S-Bahn (S1 or S 8) to the “Marienplatz” station, then change to the U-Bahn U6 in the direction of “Klinikum Großhadern”. Get off at the Holzapfelkreuth stop. Exit in the direction of Ehrwalder Straße. From there, take the second street on the left, Friedrich-List-Straße, which leads to Florian-Geyer-Straße after about 200 meters. Our center is located directly there (about a 2-minute walk).
